Meet Pink Pedals: An Ice Cream Bike Made for Celebrating, from Jupiter to Palm Beach

There are certain things people naturally gather around. A gorgeous cake being cut, for one. An ice cold bottle of champagne being popped open. A table full of food presented at just the right time. A baby or a puppy, anytime. And, as it turns out, a pink bicycle packed with ice cream sandwiches. That is where Pink Pedals comes in.

The Ice Cream Bike Has Arrived

Pink Pedals brings a signature pink ice cream bike and handcrafted ice cream sandwiches to weddings, parties and events from Jupiter to Palm Beach. And yes, it really is a bike. Not a dessert cart designed to look like one, and not a rental cart dropped off for the afternoon. Pink Pedals arrives on three wheels, ready to ride in, serve dessert and become a photo op, prop and part of the party.

Why an Ice Cream Bike?

Because dessert, like life, should be fun. There are lots of beautiful ways to serve dessert at an event, but I love the idea of making dessert something guests do, rather than something sitting quietly on a table waiting to be noticed.

Pink Pedals gives you somewhere to wander after brunch or dinner, between dances or during that lovely stretch of a party when nobody is quite ready for the day or night to end.

You walk over, choose an ice cream sandwich and run into someone you haven’t greeted yet. Someone else joins you. Suddenly, there’s a little crowd around the bike. And can we ride it? Let’s take pictures! That’s my favorite part.

A Very Palm Beach Kind of Dessert

An ice cream bike makes an unusual amount of sense here. We South Floridians celebrate outside nearly year-round. Our weddings spill onto terraces and lawns. Birthday parties are celebrated by pools. Cocktail hours overlook the water. Welcome parties, showers and neighborhood gatherings occur under swaying palm trees.

From Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens to North Palm Beach and Palm Beach, so much of life here happens somewhere warm enough that an ice cream sandwich usually sounds like an excellent idea. Pink Pedals was created for those celebrations.

The big ones, certainly — weddings, milestone birthdays and beautiful Palm Beach events — but also the slightly less formal ones. We love backyard parties, family reunions, school celebrations, neighborhood gatherings. Even an afternoon by the pool is reason enough to bring in Pink Pedals. What’s the quote? Every day of your life is a special occasion.

So, What’s Inside?

Ice cream sandwiches. Really good ones, if we do say so ourselves. Each Pink Pedals ice cream sandwich is handcrafted for the event, individually wrapped and safely tucked inside the bike until it’s time to serve. They’re nostalgic and special without requiring anyone to know which fork to use. I did attend and enjoy etiquette class as a preteen, so I can appreciate a silly slathering of silverware, but sometimes it’s just not necessary. Just unwrap and enjoy, preferably before the South Florida sunshine gets any ideas.

We’ll See You Around the Palm Beaches

Pink Pedals is based in Northern Palm Beach County and serves events primarily in Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, North Palm Beach and Palm Beach. Interested but out of town? Let’s chat.

You may spot the ice cream bike at a wedding or a community event. You may someday do a double-take as you’re driving through Palm Beach Gardens and wonder why a very pink ice cream bicycle just went by. Now you’ll know.

We’re probably headed to a party.

Warmly,

Rachel
